An Erma Bombeck Life*

Nature abhors a vacuum. And so do I. Especially since it's moving time! ---Marie Byars

*Erma Bombeck was a humorist who wrote mostly on the drudgery of household upkeep.

Thanks for the Erma Bombeck reference. I once walked past her in an airport. She was a really excellent writer. May God guide you and yours in the move.

I'll pass on the best moving hint I ever received: Buy the brightest-colored Spiral notebook you can find. (Bright so you won't lose it in the move-clutter.) As you pack, number each box on 2 or 3 corners. Then label once with the room. In the notebook, put the number plus anything you need to know about the contents. Once you've arrived but don't have everything unpacked yet, it's much easier to look for that odd item in your notebook, and then the box of that number, than to paw through a bunch of boxes trying to find it.

I don't know where these things come from---maybe a misspent youth when I could have gone to medical school!!! Anyway, nice to hear from you again. I'll stop by. Got a move across states in the works but will try to visit before.
