None of the people I live with own a T.V., and I don't either. I find myself mesmorized by them for some reason. For example, when I'm in a restaurant with my friends and there's a T.V. in the room, I find it really hard to concentrate and have a conversation . . . my eyes keep glancing up at the ever-changing bright screen. Curses be on that plastic box (haha).

Hi, guys. First to Caleb's comment: I think the T.V. writers' strike led to a (temporary) rise in the national I.Q.

I just let my cable subscription lapse -- I hadn't watched the blasted thing from months, finding the Internet (or a book) far more engaging. My dotter and SIL have allowed their little girl only one channel & she happened to pick it when the set was tuned to the Food Channel. So her ideal celebrity is someone called Rachael Rae.
