I don't know if restaffing & restructuring our state department will help. But it couldn't hurt. I'm very much committed to a moderate course in secular United States politics. That means that some amount of liberal thinking must enter in with the conservative to get the proper mix. But a lot of our culture fears or loathes the liberal part of the mix because they're not something you can quickly explain in a sound bite: it's like the conservatives are the popluar football players from high school and the liberals are the chess-playing geeks. I just want some of both in our policies.
he he..
i liked you example of players... but up here in India things will take years to change... i mean to reach the place your political system is..
anyways you look good in this picture..
Where do u stay in US.

I'm way down in the southwest corner of the United States---that desert/mountain stuff. I certain things rather private for the sake of my credit history & my children's safety!
I think that's an excellent idea, if (and only if) these individuals are well past the naive all cultures are equal frame of mind. I certainly value my passing acquaintance with anthropology and sociology -- and both have made a big difference in my own late-life conservatism.
I definitely don't think you can say all cultures are equal. But I think it's important to realize how very different cultures are. And to make sure that we don't go into other countries thinking that their people all really want to be just like us Americans. I think that's the opposite form of naivete---I guess I'm a confirmed moderate because I think both ends of the spectrum miss some things. But thanks for stopping by!
